Slow Going
I've been focusing on the soulhonky.com main page and, you know, my actual job of late so not much going no here. I probably won't be posting much until the C's are eliminated because then I can launch into offseason ramblings for every team. I might also start a new site and switch a lot of this over so stay tuned (and click on the ads while staying tuned, if you don't mind).
As for Round 1, it had some amazing games but the best ever talk is a little much. Maybe best first round series ever but even then I have a hard time buying it because I felt that most of the drama stemmed from stupid mistakes rather than great play. Sloppy turnovers, forced shots, missed free throws (if Pierce hits his, the series is a sweep). It should be interesting to see how it changes the Bulls' approach this offseason. I think they need to get rid of Gordon and find a legit low post threat if they want to get to the next level. Also, I wonder if the series helped spare Paxson's job.
I still don't have much faith in the Magic but the C's are just so banged up right now that anything could happen. It's probably going to be another seven games series but either way, the winner of this series is going to get run in 5 (maybe 6) by the Cavs.
I'm rooting for Denver to take the West. I like the 'Melo/Billups tandem and would like to get a 'Melo v. LeBron finals. I would love to get another taste of Celtics/Lakers but if the C's can't make it, I want the Lake Show to go down as well.
