Shut Up and Play
Now that the C's have lost four out of six, I think it's about time they stopped chirping so much and started focusing on playing the game. The C's, much like the Patriots from last year, have turned themselves into a dominant team that is just too easy too root against. Personally, I think that kind of attitude is more of a hindrance than a help; teams get fired up not just to beat you but to shut you up. Trash talk is part of the game, all the greats do and did it, but the C's have taken it too far.
Also, it's time to make a move or, at least, bring JR Giddens or Bill Walker up to the big team. Not only could the fresh blood help invigorate the bench but they also can't do any worse than the current squad. Benching Big Baby or Tony Allen wouldn't be such a bad thing IMO. The C's bench is killing them now and that is going to kill them in the long run if KG, Pierce, and Ray have to play extended minutes during the season. With the Big Three getting older, we need people to help let them rest. Instead, we have a bench that, more often than not, helps keep the games interesting by blowing leads.
All that being said, the sky is not falling, the Celtics are still the team to beat, and I think Doc will be able to right the ship but let's take this moment to notice and hopefully address our weaknesses.
